28/3/2007 Toyota's new publication Trade Secrets heralds the company's imaginative new approach to communicating with a wide range of vehicle technicians and panel workshops across Australia. The 16-page glossy, colour magazine with a modern feel will rove far and wide across the world of Toyota. "Our new publication targets mechanical and crash workshops nationwide, with an emphasis on providing automotive technicians with reading relevant to their profession," said Toyota Corporate Manager CSD, Gary Nettle.
"The first issue of Trade Secrets includes articles on the Aurion and FT-HS hybrid sports concepts, engine cooling issues, emission control regulations, the Broncos NRL team and Toyota's confidence in its Formula 1 team," he said. Following editions will look into other areas of Toyota's involvement, including rally and motorsport, the company's history and progression, four wheel driving, classic cars, and particularly the latest Toyota technical insights and news. The magazine is part of a new approach by Toyota to the vehicle servicing industry, Mr Nettle said. "Each edition of Trade Secrets also includes Trade Grade, a new Toyota Genuine Parts pricing guide that will be regularly supplied to workshops around the country," he said. Trade Grade provides information on Toyota parts by model, recommended retail prices and recommended trade prices, as well as the current stop press specials. "By supplying a standardised price guide, we aim to support the industry by making parts ordering information more accessible to everyone," Mr Nettle said. "The magazine provides a forum for direct communication with both mechanical and smash repair technicians. "It will inform readers of developments within Toyota, give a unique insight into our sector of the industry and provide a system for feedback." The first edition of Trade Secrets will be available on April 1 and will be distributed via direct mail to workshops and through the Toyota Dealer network. |
